Meet Your Teachers

Ben Horowitz – Resident Teacher

Ben_Horowitz_headshotBen Horowitz has played every possible room imaginable, and some that are not. Over the past 15 years, Ben has performed to audiences as large as 3000, and as small as three. He’s performed at comedy clubs, RSL clubs, and music festivals, alongside comic greats, like Greg Fleet, Chris Franklin, Brad Oakes, and the Nelson Twins. He’s headlined and MCed, killing it on stage and also bombing. And that’s what makes Ben an ideal comedy teacher – he’s experienced the best and worst the comedy circuit has to offer.

Elliot Goblet (Jack Levi) – Guest Comedian

Not many comedians can claim the sheer speed of success that Jack Levi, aka Elliot Goblet, has enjoyed. Spotted by talent scouts only 10 months into his career, Jack’s round glasses wearing character quickly became a regular face on Australian TV, namely Hey Hey It’s Saturday, The Big Gig, and the Midday Show. His character’s catatonic, monotonal one-liners also quickly became recited across Australian workplaces and schools, making his look and sound embedded in Australian comedy history.

Jarryd Goundrey – Guest Comedian

Jarryd Goundrey is a School of Hard Knock Knocks graduate, and a funny one at that. One of his most recent achievements has been performing 28 times in a month, to support the Polished Man charity. This experience saw him travelling all over Victoria and New South Wales, as well as performing on metropolitan trains – to an initially shocked audience.

Jarryd’s passion and energy is obvious when he’s on stage. See his recent performance in Geelong.
