Meet Your Teachers

Ben Horowitz – Resident Teacher

Ben_Horowitz_headshotBen Horowitz has played every possible room imaginable, and some that are not. Over the past 15 years, Ben has performed to audiences as large as 3000, and as small as three. He’s performed at comedy clubs, RSL clubs, and music festivals, alongside comic greats, like Greg Fleet, Chris Franklin, Brad Oakes, and the Nelson Twins. He’s headlined and MCed, killing it on stage and also bombing. And that’s what makes Ben an ideal comedy teacher – he’s experienced the best and worst the comedy circuit has to offer.

Steve Hughes – Guest Comedian

Steve Hughes Comedian

Steve Hughes is one of Australia’s greatest exports. An internally renowned stand-up comedy (and heavy metal drummer), Steve’s comedy is confronting, alarming, but always hilarious. Steve has been touring the  international comedy circuit for the past 10 years, performing throughout Europe, Australia, USA, Canada & New Zealand to rave reviews and sold out shows.

Most recently Steve wrote and performed his most personable and intimate show yet entitled “Nervous Breakthrough” and is currently performing selected shows around Australia and New Zealand.

Jaiden Jagger- Returning Alumnus

Jaiden Jagger ComedianEvery month the School of Hard Knock Knocks invites an alumni to return and perform as the ‘middle bracket’, as well as share their experiences on the comedy circuit. The February returning alumna is Jaiden Jagger. Jaiden’s comedy is political correctness’s worst nightmare. Sweet from appearances, but with a forked tongue, Jaiden takes her audience on a roller coaster ride of humour then unease then back to humour. Jaiden graduated from the School of Hard Knock Knocks in 2016, and will share her experiences as a new comedian in Australia.
