Meet Your Teachers

Ben Horowitz – Resident Teacher

Ben_Horowitz_headshotBen Horowitz has played every possible room imaginable, and some that are not. Over the past 15 years, Ben has performed to audiences as large as 3000, and as small as three. He’s performed at comedy clubs, RSL clubs, and music festivals, alongside comic greats, like Greg Fleet, Chris Franklin, Brad Oakes, and the Nelson Twins. He’s headlined and MCed, killing it on stage and also bombing. And that’s what makes Ben an ideal comedy teacher – he’s experienced the best and worst the comedy circuit has to offer.

Cam Knight – Guest Celebrity Comedian

Cam Knight Comedian

Each School of Hard Knock Knocks stand-up comedy course, we invite a celebrity comedian to help coach the course. Cam has been an actor and stand up comedian for the past 16 years. As well as performing sell out shows across the country and receiving 5 star reviews and award nominations, Cam featured at the televised Montreal Just for Laughs Festival at the Sydney Opera House in 2015 as well as the televised Sydney Comedy Festival Gala on the Comedy Channel. Not only will Cam be headlining with students on Thursday night, but he’ll be sharing his personal story and advice on the Tuesday ‘Meet and Greet’ night.

Monica Rosenfeld – Returning Alumna

Monica Rosenfeld ComedianEvery month the School of Hard Knock Knocks invites an alumni to return and perform as the ‘middle bracket’, as well as share their experiences on the comedy circuit. This month our returning alumna is Monica Rosenfeld, who graduated from the School of Hard Knock Knocks earlier this year, and has since exploded onto the comedy circuit, performing at the Sydney Opera House no less! Learn about her journey on the open mic circuit, and how she has been so successful, so quickly.
